The table that changed the scale.
Lasarte was Jordi’s first experience at this level of dining. A last-minute invitation in Barcelona brought Jordi, Wouter and chef Jeroen to a room that felt quietly precise from the moment they arrived.
The cooking was joyful from start to finish: ambitious but never difficult, polished but warm. Watching a father arrive with his two children as though it were an ordinary lunch made the world of the restaurant feel both extraordinary and completely natural.
After lunch, the group was invited into the kitchen. The glass extractor hood above the chef’s table — carefully cleaned after service — became one of those small, lasting details. The final photograph with the kitchen chef in front of the wine wall completed the memory.
